Climate Impact & locally sourced
PVC is non-biodegradable and its destruction is problematic. Incineration of PVC is indeed a source of dioxin emissions, a green house gas. Burning PVC lets loose hydrogen chloride gas, which turns into hydrochloric acid—the stuff of acid rain. Locally sourced materials reduces the carbon footprint of our products, energy and pacakging as well as supporting our local craftspeople and CMTs. Carbon d’ Afreeque helps to stop all this destruction. We also help our customers and suppliers to cut their carbon emissions too.
Sustainability & low waste
Our products incorporate waste responsibly as we re-use or reycle of billboard offcuts for sampling and handles. Furthermore, our recycled designs only use PVC skins that are destined for our landfills. These skins are a sustainable source of “raw” material and wherever, we strive to minimise the use of virgin materials. We thus reduce the amount of waste throughout the design and cutting process.

Recycled
Our throw-away society produces unbearable amounts of waste. Recycling billboards is one way of processing old material into new products. Instead of contributing to the endless cycle of environmental degradation, billboard skins are given a second life.
Fair, local & BEE compliant
We are BEE compliant and strive to do business with suppliers that are similarly compliant. By being a fair partner we believe that we will improve the livelihoods of cutters, crafts people in our existing supply chain and communities.
Media owners have traditionally been our suppliers of PVC billboard material. This industry partnership has ensured that billboard PVC destined for the landfill or potentially being incinerated, is used in an innovative manner by reducing our landfill space, keeping our surrounding environment cleaner. Outdoor media companies are supporting innovative entrepreneurship by showing that green business can be good business!
